Pre-nerf shields? - Guild Wars Forums

I have seen a number of people selling "pre-nerf" shields (-2,-2 or -2,-3 etc.) recently.
Are these not still possible drops in prophecies?
I never heard of this being "nerfed"

To my knowledge, they still drop. Those people are most likely trying to boost their sale price by saying the item is "pre-nerf"

The shields with 2 damage reduction mods (-2^stance/-2^enchanted and -2^stance/-3^hexed) have been "nerfed" shortly before Factions release and none of them have dropped since then. I can dig out which specific update did it.

This..

And for other Pre-nerf shields such as 30/ench or 30/stance 45/hex or 3/10 mods, those were removed even way earlier in 2005

Don't forget the +8 vs damage types being max

still not sure why people refer to any change at all as a "nerf" , changing from +8 to +10 was an increase no? even if it did hose my uber shield collection back then

Aight haha i forgot that, eventho had still 2yo after the update r9 30 8vs fire skeleton shield in storage for lulz ;D
